We're searching for a Staff Technical Program Manager - Hardware Security. The mission of Aurora's Security Technical Program Management (TPM) team is to develop and drive security strategy and initiatives across all of Aurora and into all software, hardware, and services developed by Aurora.

In this role, you will

  • Responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional hardware security initiatives.
  • Establish relationships with globally-distributed hardware partners in order to deliver a commercially scalable and secure Aurora Driver product.
  • Manage the development and execution of a product roadmap and/or execution plan to achieve company-wide security goals and objectives.
  • Partner with hardware engineering teams to prioritize the development of security features and capabilities based on internal and external factors, including the company objectives, risks to the business, and regulatory and/or compliance requirements.
  • Identify, track, and report key performance indicators that measure product and/or program success.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of technical program or product management in security, privacy and/or product compliance.
  • Demonstrable experience with managing or executing cybersecurity and automotive standards including, but not limited to, ISO-27001, NIST SP 800-53, and ISO-21434.
  • Experience with rolling out highly impactful and visible company wide initiatives and changes.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, such as JIRA and Confluence, to build a product roadmap, groom the team backlog, and report product or program execution status.
  • Experience in a safety critical hardware industry (aerospace/defense, automotive, medical devices, etc)

Desirable Qualifications (this section is optional)

  • CISM, CISSP, or similar certifications (PMP certification a plus)
  • BS in Computer Science or a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in conducting security threat analysis and risk assessments
  • Experience with the full product lifecycle (including development, verification, contract manufacturing, and market introduction)
  • Experience with emerging hardware technologies including autonomous vehicles, robotics, and internet of things (IoT)
  • Experience and familiarity with the Agile development methodology (no certification is required)

The base salary range for this position is $216,000.00-$245,000.00 per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
