Career Transitions is supporting a client in Indianapolis, IN who seeks a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electronic components and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic parts and systems, as well as experience with injection molding processes a plus. The Senior Electronics Engineer will play a critical role in driving innovation, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis.

What you are doing as a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer:

• Design and develop electronic components and systems, including PCBs, sensors, microcontrollers, and communication interfaces.




• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, specifications, and objectives.




• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate design concepts and propose optimal solutions.




• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring compliance with timelines and budgets.




• Perform detailed analysis, testing, and validation of electronic systems to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.




• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability, with a focus on injection molding processes.




• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.




• W ork closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to source electronic components and materials, as well as to optimize injection molding processes.




• Stay updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and best practices in electronics engineering.

What you need as a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. BSME, BSEE.




• 7 years of experience in electronics design and development, with a focus on electronic parts and injection molding.




• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSpice).




• Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and systems, as well as experience with PCB layout and design.




• Familiarity with injection molding processes and their application to electronic enclosures and components.




• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions on time and within budget.
