MS Azure Cloud Engineer - MUST HAVE SKILLS:



  • Azure experience - Managing services

  • MS Exchange

  • Active Directory areas of group policy and Powershell

  • Experience coming from a larger company that has a rigorous change process.

  • Looking for someone that not only is familiar with administration, but also has experience implementing new systems.

  • Excellent software & hardware troubleshooting experience.

  • Extensive support experience with company applications.

  • Expert technical knowledge of current Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Microsoft and/or Linux) deployment & support.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Expert implementation, design, and management experience in one of the following focus areas.

  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SCCM.

  • Experience with Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, One Drive, Azure, AWS, and/or GCP a plus.

  • Bachelors degree (BS/BA) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related field

  • 7/8+ years of technical work experience.

  • 2-3+ certificates in systems related hardware/software and/or documented technical training in systems disciplines. Verified work experience may be substituted.



MS Azure Cloud Engineer - JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of assigned software/services and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

  • Assist in working with executive & business line team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements/goals and to identify/resolve systems issues.

  • Participate in cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid in management making implementation decisions.Work closely with Systems Infrastructure Architect in planning/implementation of systems solutions.

  • Conduct research on software and systems products to assist in justifying recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

  • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors as needed to secure system-related products and services.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative and supportive relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.

  • Resolve any assigned work problems, incidents, changes or project tasks within assigned SLA. Ensure all assigned tasks are appropriately updated within ITSM platform.

  • Repairs and recovers from hardware or software failures with necessary urgency. Communicates and coordinates with affected users or clients during outage through established pathways.

  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/services; assist in development and implementation strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

  • Perform server security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the companys disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

  • Assist in creation and maintaining of documentation as it relates to systems configurations, mapping, processes, and service records.

  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing & operating systems.

  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.

  • Participate in PCI Compliance, including providing evidence for quarterly and yearly audits.



MS Azure Cloud Engineer - NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:



  • Linux Redhat, scripting/automation (Bash, Perl, Python, Powershell), Redhat Ansible Engine, other OSs (CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle XEN).
